I’m a Yorkshireman by nature and by values — straight talking, honest, and not one for unnecessary noise. I’ve spent the last 15 years in technical recruitment, working with global enterprises, high-growth startups and everything in between across the UK, Europe and North America.

I’ve hired for some of the most in-demand technical roles in the market — from software engineers and DevOps to AI, data and machine learning specialists — and I’ve seen recruitment done brilliantly… and very badly.

That’s why I started Al21.

I work as a freelance recruiter, partnering directly with companies to help them hire the right contract and permanent talent. Al21 isn’t an agency model and it isn’t about volume — it’s about hands-on, accountable recruitment done properly.

I genuinely believe that recruitment, when done well, can have a huge impact — not just on businesses, but on people’s lives and careers. At its core, good recruitment is about openness, honesty and trust. No smoke and mirrors. No CV-firing. No false promises.
